Seems like an oxymoron to speak of formidable losers but as a group they most certainly are. These people a speak of are the globalists and covid showed that hold more power than the competent people of the world. All bar one of the western countries adopted almost identical policies on how to deal with covid. Well done Sweden for be the exception. This is an immediate red flag. You can argue the policy was universal because it was obviously the best policy but since when have so many people been able to agree on anything even if there is one obvious choice. I content that the reason the covid policy was universal wasn't because it was obviously good but exactly the opposite. The bureaucrats were able to agree on it because it was bad for everyone except them. And I'm about to describe why there is a kind of person that like both sides of that.
The root of the problem is the imbalance in the difficulty of understanding the world as it is vs how it could be. For one there is only one way the world is but many ways it could be so already the status quo is at an advantage. But the status quo's big advantage is that it requires only eyes to see while possible futures require imagination. And we have two eyes but only one imagination.
There is a second imbalance in that we tend to notice the bad in a system more readily than the good. As a consequence of these two imbalances we have a bunch of people running around who understand only the world as it is and only the bad parts at that. This is why the winning political strategy is to promise change without specifying what that change should be. Since everyone agrees that change is required but not on what it should be. As soon as you propose a solution some people won't understand you and of the people that do not all will agree. So you lose to the politician that proposed no solutions or spoke so vaguely about the solutions they offer that everyone thinks they understand while all understanding differently.
The net result is that you always end up with a large group of people that want to tear down the current system and a bunch of smaller groups that want to build new systems but these systems are heterogenous. The smaller groups are where all the smart people are but they lose to the bigger group composed exclusively of morons because they all agree on the goal. Until they succeed and there is no longer system for them gang up on.
The solution to this problem isn't to fight the morons. They have nowhere else to be. The solution is to gather the smart people away from the masses and build something for themselves. The dumb people won't follow because they won't even notice what's happening. Then when all the smart people have left the dumb ones will be able to destroy the system they had at light speed and once they have descended into anarchy they will diffuse into the functioning systems. Off course they will cause the same problems there so a high functioning society would develop some kind of immune system against these people. But eventual solution will always be divide the cell and leave the cancer behind.
